This past week, I went to Christina White Salon and tried the natural beaded row extensions. I got to hangout, have a glass of wine, and enjoy being pampered by this amazing team! How long do they last?
6-8 weeks. One thing I have learned is that maintenance is super important when extending the life of your extensions. What products you use, how often you wash your hair, etc. Two important items that extend the life of your extensions are this oil and this brush. Christina’s team will give you a complimentary brush (that is gold and has their trademark – so cute!) with your extensions.
What is the cost?
Extensions can range from around $450-1,500+ depending on someone’s current length, how much length they want, and what method is used (fusion, tape ins, or beaded rows). Something to keep in mind is that when you go to get them moved up, the cost is less, as you have already purchased the hair and the prep work (measuring, etc.) has already been completed. You can use the same hair a few times, so once you already own the hair – the cost to move up the hair is cheaper at the following visits.

The following products help extend the life of your extensions – and natural hair – to achieve that flawless look:
Oil – Place a little on your brush after showering starting from the bottom of your hair and working your way up. Avoiding the bonds of your extensions.
Brush– soft, flexible bristles that are safe for extensions and spread oils evenly throughout hair
Heat Protectant – extensions or not, this is SUCH an important product for healthy hair. This particular one makes your hair so soft and smells great too!
Leave in Conditioner – Honestly, when I think of leave in conditioner I think of being a kid at the pool and spraying in as much fruity detangler as possible! However, this stuff will make your life SO much easier! Especially if you have/ are wanting longer hair!
Scrunchies – scrunchies are the BEST for keeping style and not creasing. These silk scrunchies do not pull on your hair which causes breakage. They allow you to create a loose pony/ bun which keeps tension off of your hair and also prevents tangling.
Shower Cap – extensions or not, these are honestly great and so much easier than wrapping your hair in a towel. Such an easy way to make your life that much more manageable! Also, this one is nice and large for my big head and even bigger hair!
Shampoo & Conditioner – safe for use with extensions (sulfate free). Keep in mind that you will most likely not be shampooing your hair daily. Therefore, this bottle will last you much longer than a drug store bottle you may use daily. Christina also recommends this shampoo which I plan on trying!
Texturizing Spray – I’ve tried A LOT of these sprays and this is my day one and favorite for more volume!
Curling Iron – I always find myself going back to this brand! They are reliable and always have worked best for me compared to other brands. I also use this straightener by them.
